This starts with our most valuable ingredient – wild-caught Pacific keta salmon Oncorhynchus keta (Latin) used in the KAIGO lines of products. The catch area is located in the North-Eastern Pacific Ocean near Alaska, USA. These Arctic waters are unaffected by industrial pollution, and the environment is clean and favourable for a diverse population of fish and marine life. We also use sustainable and environmentally friendly fishing methods to catch salmon, such as GNDs or drift nets.

The salmon that grows off the coast of Alaska is a true delicacy. Thanks to the excellent living conditions and generous natural food base, the keta salmon are distinguished by their excellent nutritional value. There is not a single gram of artificial feed or contaminated water in the body of the salmon. Products of such quality are loaded with valuable and completely natural nutrients and vitamins.

It is well known that vitamin D deficiency can cause serious health problems in humans. The best way to boost vitamin D intake is to consume natural, vitamin D-rich products such as fish. Salmon is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin D. 100 g of wild salmon contain about 988 IU of vitamin D, which is 124% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin D. 100 g of captive-farmed salmon contain around 250 IU, which is only 32% of the recommended daily amount.

Salmon is a physically strong fish, and one of the sources of its strength, a natural anti-oxidant called astaxanthin, can be found in the muscle tissue of the fish. Astaxanthin is a natural carotenoid found in wild salmon, shrimp, lobster, crab and algae. Carotenoids are a type of natural pigment. Astaxanthin is a reddish pigment that colours the flesh of wild salmon a juicy shade of red. In terms of health, astaxanthin promotes muscle regeneration; it is an excellent weapon against ageing, promotes natural resistance and protects the skin from harmful UV rays.

Having a daily diet rich in quality fish products means that you don't need to worry about taking supplements, which contain the polyunsaturated fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6. These fatty acids stimulate skin regeneration, hair growth, maintain bone strength, help regulate the body’s metabolic processes and are vital for reproductive health. In wild salmon, fatty acids prevent the fat in the fish’s body from thickening at extremely low temperatures.
